Lernert travels across the barren landscape, digging through rubbish piles in an attempt to build a body for Susan, the robot head who hangs, unresponsive, from the back of his pack. The pair comes across Rola, a spirited twentysomething, who lacks survival skills but makes up for it with sheer determination.
